<description>Since my approval is spotty on HuffPo, I&#039;ll make the arguments here as well.....

There are two arguments to the Ayers issue.. Neither do not hold water...

The first is one of &quot;tenuous connections&quot;.. The second is the &quot;Ayers is not really a terrorist&quot; argument.

As to the first...

Would you wonder about someone who had the same &quot;tenuous&quot; connections with, say Osama Bin Laden or Timothy McVeigh or Jeffery Dahlmer as Obama had with Ayers?? Would you wonder about how someone could actually attend a social gathering with William Gacy?? Would you wonder how anyone could possibly work on a charitable board with Charles Manson?

Of course you would... Any sane, reasonable or logical person WOULD wonder about connections with those kids of people..

Ergo, the &quot;tenuous&quot; connections really are not that &quot;tenuous&quot; after all.

As to the &quot;Ayers is not really a terrorist&quot; argument...

By ANY definition employed, Ayers is a terrorist.. This is a fact..

There are some aspects of a person&#039;s character that I consider &quot;defining&quot;... Racism is one.. I can&#039;t imagine saying about someone, &quot;Well, he/she seems like a really nice person, but they are so racist.&quot; I don&#039;t think you could say that about someone either..

Child molesting is another. I honestly cannot see myself saying, &quot;Well, he was a child molester 30 years ago, but he hasn&#039;t molested any children since then, so he&#039;s an OK guy.&quot;.... I just can&#039;t see myself saying that. Could you??

Terrorism is another.. A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.. Yassar Arafat was a terrorist. He was a terrorist until the day he died.. Ayers is a terrorist. He will ALWAYS be a terrorist.. Until the day he dies..

Some aspects of a person&#039;s character are defining... Racism.. Pedophilia.. Terrorism...

		<description>No problemo... :D

I answered over there..

Basically, he/she uses the &quot;tenuous connections&quot; argument. But that argument doesn&#039;t hold water . This is easy to show.

Feel free to join in.. :D

		<description>kevinem2 -

Don&#039;t feel bad, I already feel bad enough for begging in such a shameless fashion in the first place. I guess I&#039;ll never get &quot;Capitalist Of The Year.&quot; This blog is for everyone to feel welcome, whether they donate or not.

Michale -

I answered you over on HuffPost, because there was a post there by restoreamerica that I agreed with, so it was easier... call me lazy, but it&#039;s the holidays...

<description>Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for saying &quot;getting off imported oil&quot; as opposed to saving the planet from Human Caused Global Warming(Yet The Planet Is Cooling).

The former is a logical and rational and the latter is just a fear-mongering con to make the likes of Al Gore and Richard Branson richer.

As for William Ayers, you know I am going to have to call you on that one.

Ayers WAS and IS a real issue that Obama (much to my chagrin) did not address. The two arguments coming from the Left have already been thoroughly refuted.

The simple fact that Obama does have the tendency to hit these kinds of issues head on, as he did in the Wright saga, simply makes his silence on Ayers all the more disturbing.

And kudos for rising above political bigotry and actually giving credit where credit is due. The hysterical Left must have had heart failure when you used the word TRUTH, FOX NEWS and KARL ROVE all in the same paragraph...

That&#039;s why I like your commentaries. You show that sometimes, it&#039;s the Left that can be disgusting and perverse and pathetic and the Right can be ulturistic and truthful..

Happy New Year and have a drink for me in Washington when you get there (budget permitting).</description>
