Cross-posted to HuffPo

You seem to be a tad overly GOP-Bashing in this one, eh CW?? :D

1. I would think a Stall would be infinitely more preferable than another Surge.. Wouldn't ya'all WANT Obama or (gods forbid) Clinton to handle Iraq, rather than Bush??
Perhaps this TP should be put forth as:
"President Bush has shown great wisdom in pushing the Iraq quagmire until our Democratic Nominee (whoever it will be) is in the White House and can fix the mess he made"
Naw, that probably wouldn't fly. You can't be seen as actually complimenting the devil incarnate, right?? :D

2. Tom ay to, Tom aa to.... Po tay to, Po taa to....
They are simply adding a new term to the lexicon of life. People do it all the time. I certainly prefer that to trying to redefine what the definition of "is" is..

3. You yourself, have stated how convoluted the situation is in Iraq.. So, it's easy to see how even the Administration can be confused. :) Actually it's more likely that the Administration doesn't want to go on record as calling a group an ENEMY today that might be our bestest buddies tomorrow. I see it as getting away from the "Axis Of Evil" mentality. Again.. A GOOD thing, if you Dems could take off your blinders of hatred and actually view the Right as fellow Americans, rather than the enemy... :D

4. "There is absolutely no chance that Al Qaeda is going to get its hands on Iraq's oil, according to every military expert on the planet,"
Mind putting in some references on this? Because I simply cannot see ANY military expert (who doesn't have a political agenda) going out on a limb with this insane bit of prognostication..

5. "fundamental human rights"???
We're not talking about humans. We're talking about terrorists. We're talking about animals who gave up ALL their rights, human or otherwise, when they decided to become terrorists.. Anything done to terrorists up to the point of terrorism itself, is perfectly justified.

6. As opposed to letting the Democrats in power and have them push us even further into a recession. There has been ZERO case made for the idea that the Dems can be anymore fiscally responsible than the GOP.. The US prospered in SPITE of Clinton, not because of him.. Carter?? Puuuulleeeese..

7. I am glad you saved the best for last. You know how I feel about Polls, but this TP is easy to address... "The percentage of Americans who think that the Democrat Controlled Congress is doing a good job is HALF of the percentage that thinks Bush is doing a good job. Given that, how does it feel, Dems to know that TWICE as many Americans think that Bush is doing a good job than those Americans who think that the Democrat Controlled Congress is doing a good job.. In other words, Dems.. Bush has ya'all beat, 2-1 in popularity"
That's why polls are usually useless.. They can say ANYTHING ya want them to say... Ergo, they say nothing. They mean nothing.

Always a pleasure, CW.. :D
