Here is my take on what Obama needs to do...

Taken from a WSJ article here:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120295209438666989.html?mod=hpp_us_pageone

"Ms. Williams (Clinton's new Campaign Manager) is running a daily conference on what ads to put up and expanding the inner circle with advisers from the old Clinton White House."

"Campaign aides say Ms. Williams and newcomers she brought from the old Clinton White House, such as Doug Sosnick and Steve Richetti, bring a needed jolt of energy."

So, tell us again, Hillary, how you are the "Candidate for change"???

While I agree with the commentator that the solution IS equitable and fair, I can't see Hillary going for it, for just that reason..

Hillary knows that she can't beat Obama in a fair fight... Her motto is, "By Hook Or By Crook.." and, if she has to go down, she will make sure she take the entire Democratic Party with her..

In summary, standing up for fairness could prove many of Hillary's detractors dead wrong.

She can't do this exactly because her detractors are not wrong, dead or otherwise... :D

I have no problem with a "do over" as long as it's not my nickel paying for it. At the time the decision was made to penalize FL and MI, no one knew the contest would be this close. You would think that we would have learned THAT lesson in the 2000 election. The lesson that sometimes, it can just come down to a few votes...

The situation has changed from the time the decision was made. Log it under the phrase....

"Sometimes, shit happens.. Someone's gotta clean it up and who ya gonna call??"
-Bill Murray, Ghostbuster II

jeffomil -

Maybe Obama will round up the delegates needed without caring what happens with Florida and Michigan. That would be the best answer as of this point for the party in 2008, but maybe not the best for the future. We do need to take a calm look at what worked and what didn't AFTER this election, and try to fix whatever needs fixing, I agree with that.

You're forgetting one thing. Obama played by the rules. Hillary did NOT. Now she want's to change the game in the middle of the fourth quarter! And you think this is FAIR?? Fair to whom? Both candidates knew about the rules before the primaries. So did the voters in both states. It was on the news for weeks. Everyone was apprised of the rules: candidates and voters. Now is NOT the time for a "re-do". Now is time for the RULES to be followed by the rest of you, just like they were by Obama. Hillary claiming she "won" the primaries in both states is BS! Her competition wasn't even on the ballots.. He was obeying the rules. She was NOT. Too bad for HER!
