Michale -

Well, at least the Clinton camp had the good sense to spank him publicly, then force him to say nice things about Obama.

What gets me is that the analogy was pretty stupid. It may be "outrageous" for Nazis to march in Skokie, but under our system of government, it's completely legal for them to do so. Just as it's completely legal for me to stand on the side of the road and let them know what I think of them as they march by (loudly, but hopefully with not too much profanity).

It's called free speech. Or the free marketplace of ideas. You don't have to like what the other guy says, but you have to agree he has the right to say it.

Which is why it's "outrageous" for him to even make the analogy in the first place.

Your first sentence is correct, though. I basically agree with the Clinton camp that the ad did use the same imagery as the Harry and Louise ads. But I firmly stand by my comment: So freakin' what? Any Clinton advisor that didn't have a response ad to Harry and Louise like TWO DAYS AFTER THE CAMPAIGN STARTED is simply not worth their pay.

I tend to somewhat agree with the Clinton folks on this one,

I assume you mean that you agree with the substance of their complaint rather than how it was expressed.

Comparing it to Nazis marching down Sheboiken (or where ever) was way out of line.

I always thought that Dems hurled the "NAZI" charge at the GOP, not fellow Dems. Guess I was wrong..

Re: FISA

Question. If everyone is changing sides on FISA (IE Reid, etc etc) is it possible (even slightly) that they know something we don't which makes the FISA changes necessary??

Just asking..

@fstanley

They have spent the last 8 years lining their pockets and it is time to stop them.

Who?? The Dems or the GOP??

Because from where I am sitting, it's hard to tell which are the Dems and which at the GOP without a play list.

It seems that NEITHER side can take the moral high ground when it comes to serving the people instead of themselves...

Good points!

The Dems need to keep hammering home that the GOP does not care about anyone except themselves. They have spent the last 8 years lining their pockets and it is time to stop them.
