Regardless, I think your idea has merit but doesn't go far enough.. I agree should Congress not get paid if the budget isn't passed by the due date. But taking it further, I think that Congress should be FINED for every day that this country runs without a budget. Every member of Congress should pay a fine for every day that they refuse to pass a working budget.. THAT will light a fire under their asses and insure that there is a budget set up and ready to go on 1 Oct... Michale..... But taking it further, I think that Congress should be FINED for every day that this country runs without a budget. Every member of Congress should pay a fine for every day that they refuse to pass a working budget..

THAT will light a fire under their asses and insure that there is a budget set up and ready to go on 1 Oct...

I think freezing their pay is a good idea but not one I can see them enforcing.
