Google reports that the quote is Japanese in origin but, as everyone knows, the Vulcans are a much older race than the Japanese, so I am sure that the Japanese got it from the Vulcans.. :D

The very idea of taking a surreptitious and clandestine snapshot of someone going about their business and then ascribing "humorous" anecdotes to what they might be saying/thinking completely negates the idea of "un-cruel".

While it is true that a great man once said, "There can be no offense where none is taken." (anyone?? anyone??) I just don't enjoy attempts at humor that are at other people's expense. Regardless of the political leanings of the target..

I am certain you wouldn't find it funny if we posted some pics of Hillary or Bill and ascribed funny little anecdotes to what they might saying or thinking. Hell, look at the outcry when someone made a tongue-in-cheek commentary about Hillary's cleavage... Behold all the righteous indignation over that, eh??

Just rack this up to one of my lil ol pet peeves.

Frankly, I look at the comments that are playing along, and I don't see anything cruel at all. Then I look at your comments, and they appear rude with no sense of humor, just knee-jerk party-line, "Help us, we're rich and powerful and everyone must protect us from jokes about our hair and cleavage". If you love that man so much, that's fine, but the rest of us can, and do, think for ourselves.

Why don't you post an "un-cruel" caption? Why don't you invite your friends to come and show how patriotic captions are kinder and gentler?

Apparently Bush and Brown are much tougher than Michale thinks since they've yet to voice an opinion.

I can see good natured ribbing.. That's no big deal..

But things like this has the tinge of being mean simply to be mean.....

Kinda like teasing the nerd in the class because he is smarter than everyone else... Granted, it makes the teasers feel all superior and all...

But how fair is is??

Just look at Bush's face. You can take the boy out of the frat, but not the frat out of the boy, if you know what I mean. Seriously - doing a " 360 " in "Golf Cart One"?!? -- he's obviously just having fun, so I consider it fair game to poke fun back.

Actually, this isn't the first photo contest I've run. I also ran one back in February.

Call me guilty of occasionally running a crowd-pleasing bit just to boost my Huffington Post comments if you will, but sometimes it's more fun to let the readers make the jokes.

I was surprised nobody commented about Frankzappastrasse, though.

Basically, it calls for ridicule of a fellow American. It allows those who are of childish and immature intellect to make fun of people who have a difference of opinion..

It is unwarranted, it is childish and it does more to create divide than it does to build bridges. It belongs in elementary school, not on a site dedicated to mature and rational discussions...

You know I respect the hell out of you, CW.. But you dropped the ball on this one... This is the type of crap that luzers and hate mongers like Martin Lewis would pull.... This type of childish crap belongs on KOS or HuffPo or other hate oriented sites.... It doesn't belong on a mature and adult site like this one..
